Mena Alexandra (born on February 13, 1979) is an actress and model hailing from the United States. After 1990, just following her debut as a model, she began to appear in tv shows such as Boy Meets World. In 1997, she made her debut as a film actor on Nowhere. Following her appearance of American Beauty (for which she won a BAFTA Award) and American Pie which brought her much attention, she completed the transition to major role. Since then she appeared in Loser (2000) with her American Pie co-star Jason Biggs and later played the main character in the comedy film Sugar & Spice (2001). Spun, an independent drama released in 2002 as well as the suspense movie Trauma (2004) was her two most recent appearances. She appeared in HBO's dramatic show Six Feet Under. In 2004 she was nominated as an Outstanding Cast member in the Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2008, Suvari was included in a variety of films, like Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and the adaptation film of The Garden of Eden. Suvari is the modeling model for Lancome cosmetics and print ads of Lancome Paris Adaptive and has been featured in a variety of fashion magazines as well as blogs including Vogue. She's been an advocate and supporter for the African Medical and Research Foundation. Additionally, she is involved with issues of empowerment for women, as well as charitable organizations which promote research into breast cancer and End Violence Against Women.
