Julie Chen Moonves will host the reality series that is a huge hit in summer, Big Brother. The show returns to CBS on August 5 for the 2nd season. Chen Moonves has been a part of The Talk since 2010, where she was moderator and host. In the year she started writing that her real passion began to emerge. She also won an Emmy for hosting and outstanding television talkshow. The show was hosted by her co-hosts CBS News weekday morning show The Early Show between 2002 until 2010. She anchors The Early Show as well as CBS Morning News. The CBS Television Network broadcasted a half-hour of news at the beginning of the morning. Chen Moonves also covered the war in Iraq as well as other important stories, on The Early Show. After 9/11 She was taken to Cairo and located the main hijacker's father for an intense and shocking interview. Chen Moonves interviewed celebrities such as Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie. In addition, she met with former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani and Queen Rania. Chen Moonves also reported for the Emmy-winning CBS Sunday Morning news show which featured celebrities such as Jamie Lee Curtis and Paula Abdul.Prior to The Early Show, Chen Moonves worked as a reporter and anchor for WCBS-TV, the CBS-owned station located in New York City (1997-1999).Before joining CBS News, Chen Moonves was a reporter for WDTN-TV Dayton (1995-1997). She also served as a producer at ABC NewsOne (1992-1995), the news affiliate of CBS in the late 1990s, as well as a desk assistant in ABC News' Los Angeles bureau (1990-1991) during her senior year at University of Southern California. Her first time working in broadcasting, as a Desk Assistant for ABC News' late-night show Nightline featuring Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel is still among her favorite journalists. Chen Moonves and Ted Koppel collaborated on Anatomy of a Riot - the primetime TV special that won the Columbia du-Pont award - which examined how the Los Angeles riots of 1992.
