Nancy O'Dell's debut job in the broadcast industry was as an anchor and reporter at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. O'Dell later became morning news anchor at WCBD TV and also as an investigative reporter. Her articles from Charleston on how Charleston police handled DUI cases with leniency caused an investigation by State Law Enforcement Division. This investigation led to a more strict instruction for the state's authorities. Ms. O'Dell was honored by The Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Awards to all media South Carolina. Following her stint at Charleston, O'Dell worked as a co-anchor for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and as an investigative reporter. Then she joined Access Hollywood to work as the weekend and weekday correspondent. She has covered such events like The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as in addition to hosting a series of pre-show arrivals to The Emmys and the Golden Globes.
